Meet our Head Trainer

Meet Nick, our Founder and Head Trainer. Nick is a Certified Personal Trainer and amateur bodybuilder. Nick is super passionate about personal training and fitness, but it is his genuine desire to help people avoid the pitfalls he experienced in his own journey that inspired him to start Shred Fitness.

"I was a really skinny kid for most of my life. It didn't really bother me until high school, when I realized I was so much smaller than most of my friends. People would think it was funny to ask me if my parents fed me, or if I was going to blow away in a strong wind. I tried to laugh it off, but I didn't think it was funny.

I started lifting weights in 2020 as a way to take control of my life during Covid, and quickly found that it did more than strengthen my body and build muscle. Lifting tested my mental strength, and gave me purpose at a time when I really felt like I didn't have much.  It was really good... until it wasn't.

I went down a rabbit hole, and I from what I've heard, this happens a lot.

There was a ton of conflicting information available to me on social media and YouTube, from influencers, to heavy hitters in the industry, to supplement companies, to coaches... I didn't know who to believe or how to trust the process. I was convinced that everyone else knew more than me, was making progress faster, and that I was wasting time. No amount of progress was enough. I was obsessed with becoming like the images I saw constantly on Instagram, and developed horrible body dysmorphia.

I knew my mental state was unhealthy, but I couldn't seem to change it. I grinded, but I was literally miserable every single day.
Eventually, I hit the bottom and was told I had to find a way to change my relationship with fitness, or quit. It was the wake up call I needed.

As I healed and began to train and mentor others, I began to meet people who shared similar feelings of frustration in their fitness journey. I realized how much easier this journey is when you can talk about the ups and downs, and trust that the information you are receiving will get you to your goals.  All I ever wanted was for one of my coaches to be as invested in me as I was in myself, and now, I am here to do that for you.

Shred Fitness is designed to provide the best custom training plans to college students who genuinely want to transform their physique while staying positive, with the support of someone who gets it as a partner in the journey.

I can't wait to train with you.
